We just got some ace new environment art running in Smash Cops. The transposition from, the ostentatiously named, ‘infrographic-realistic’ art target to in-game has worked better and seemingly easier than expected. Great job with that workflow from the team. The sudden step up has got us all gee’d-up. If this is the first step we’re very happy about the directions things are going. Solid, fresh, juicy – and that’s just the floor of the Hutch!
We set out to find a solution to the problem of bringing a core game experience to a touch device without a core control device, quite a challenge! Virtual D-pads are commonplace for racing games and analogue sticks are clunky and do not fit on a touch device, why shoe horn in virtual buttons which only exist that way because of the real life versions that came before them?
