Senior Product Manager

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Design Director, the Senior Product Manager will work across projects forming a crucial part of the studio’s creative setup. The Senior Designer will use their experience of virtual goods based business models and strong monetisation intuition to develop new features and systems for our mobile titles that will improve monetisation, engagement, retention and virality.

 

Your Responsibilities:

Support the product vision through the design of large-scale game systems that maximize engagement, revenue, and retention.
Use data driven insight to improve results and share best practices.
Create Theme, Game Mechanics, Monetization, and Social Features into an integrated product.
Play all competitive games, understand their successes and failures, to help ensure our games are the best ones on the market.
Run play tests and use the team’s feedback for the continual improvement our games.
Work with the developers to define, plan, and iterate game features to a high quality standard.
Create design specifications that effectively communicate game design requirements to all team members.
Analyze game metrics/feedback and make design decisions based upon them.
Have broad knowledge in various aspects of game design such as system design, narration, economy balance, UI design, etc.

 

Skills and Requirements:

Must be extremely organized in the game design workflow from initial concept to final release and post-release support.
Strong analytical abilities and are able to analyze game-play data to improve the game as necessary.
Proven experience and success designing mobile-based online and social game feature-sets.
Have solid experience and success with games based on a virtual-goods business model with deep monetization intuition and understanding.
A love of startups and a desire to be part of a small team that achieves its vision quickly.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

 

Experience with an established company is great but we’d also be interested to hear from you if you’ve got a proven track record outside of the corporate world.

QA Lead

As a QA Project Lead you will be dedicated to a project and expected to take responsibility for running the testing within that project. You will need to co-ordinate your efforts with key stakeholders; the Product Owner, Technical Lead, UI Lead and Producer. You will work with the QA Manager to execute test strategies and to continually improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by evolving QA methodologies.  Working in an agile environment, the test effort should pair up with the active work for the sprint, but with constant consideration of the wider product. You will build and drive a comprehensive black box test strategy that covers all systems from an End to End user perspective. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the creation of test plans and test cases from design documentation and technical specifications.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/spec gathering

 Plan and document the test effort via the creation of Test plans

 Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures – track test coverage and gather valuable performance metrics

 Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs and changes.

 Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources both internally and externally.

 Collaborate with Tech leads and Product Owner to manage change close to submissions

 Co-ordinate with the project stakeholders to prioritise issue fixes via regular bug triages

 Active involvement in Sprint ceremonies; daily scrums, demos, planning, and retrospectives.

 Develop and drive processes to aid bug prevention methods and encourage quality responsibility within the team.

 Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish QA tasks on-on time with a high level of quality.

 Assist in the training of new hires,mentor junior QA team members and share expertise

 Work with the QA Manager to execute test strategies and to continually improve

operational efficiency and effectiveness by evolving QA methodologies

 Technical level customer support.

 Co-ordinate with Customer Support to feed key issues/feedback into sprints

 Actively seek to self improve; pursue training and development activities, strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.

 

Your Skills & Experience:

Essential

 Experience working in an Agile development/testing environment

 Significant mobile application testing experience (iOS/Android) – functional & non-functional

 Deep understanding of a game’s development lifecycle

 Experience with JIRA

 Calm under pressure with a proactive attitude

 Excellent communicator

 A passion for QA

 Ability to work autonomously

 Systematic approach to problem solving

 Significant experience working within a games studio (ideally within mobile)

Desirable

 Avid gamer (particularly F2P mobile games)

 An interest in Mobile Test Automation and mobile based technologies
 

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in either games industry QA or in software testing.
